Cape Town International Convention Centre
All delegates and registered accompanying persons are invited to attend the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception. The Opening Ceremony will be held in Auditorium 1 and will include entertainment of true African spirit.
After the formalities of the Opening Ceremony, the Welcome Reception in Halls 2 & 3 promises the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from around the world.
Cocktail snacks and beverages will be served.
Cost is included in the delegate and accompanying person registration fee.

Green Point Park
The Congress Banquet takes place at the Green Point Park and Biodiversity Garden, Cape Town’s newest outdoor multipurpose green space. It promises to be quite a splendid affair – fabulous food, inspiring setting and wonderful entertainment!
Transport leaves from outside the Cape Town International Convention Centre at 19:15 and returns to the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 22:00.
Access to the Congress Banquet is through Gate 10 of the Green Point Park and Biodiversity Garden off Helen Suzman Boulevard.
Cost is included in the delegate and accompanying person registration fee.

Cape Town International Convention Centre
The Closing Ceremony and Farewell Reception will be the last of the official social events and a fitting African send off. The Closing Ceremony will be held in Auditorium 1 and the Farewell Reception will take place in Ballroom West immediately afterwards.
Cocktail snacks and beverages will be served.
Cost is included in the delegate and accompanying person registration fee.
An accompanying person programme showcasing the vibrant city of Cape Town is available for the enjoyment of those travelling with IFAC 2014 delegates. Registered accompanying persons can enjoy the comforts of the Accompanying Persons Lounge on Level 1 of the CTICC. They are invited to attend the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, the Congress Banquet and the Closing Ceremony and Farewell Reception.
The package also includes a ticket for the City Sightseeing tour bus, the world’s number one open-top bus operator, found in more than 70 cities around the world and right here in Cape Town.
