Itinerary Overview
Experience the magical Overberg region of the Western Cape, renowned for its magnificent coastline, whale
watching and fynbos. Once you have traversed this incredible area, staying in luxury at Grootbos and
exploring its natural wonders, you will head inland to the Cape Winelands. Here you will discover the
stunning valley of Franschhoek, with its quaint village, world-class wine estates and award winning
restaurants. The elegant Le Franschhoek Hotel is nestled in a quiet corner of the valley, with stunning
views and superb garden.
Day 1: Drive from Cape Town, coastal route via Hermanus, on to Grootbos near Stanford.
Day 2: Group at Grootbos, certain activities included. Dinner, overnight Grootbos
Day 3: Transfer to Franschhoek (via Franschhoek Pass) Dinner, overnight at Le Franschhoek.
Day 4: Visits to wine estates, ride the tram, wine & choc tasting, overnight Le
Franschhoek.
Day 5: Morning at leisure, lunchtime departure to Cape Town.

Itinerary Overview
This varied journey will take in fabulous scenery from the Eastern Cape through the legendary Garden
Route and Route 62, ending in Cape Town. First stop is your safari at Shamwari Private Game Reserve,
where you will be able to track the Big Five in specialized open safari vehicles, led by your guide
and tracker team. From here it is on to Knysna where you will experience the Garden Route magic right
from your hotel which is set on Knysna Lagoon. Then we travel inland to Route 62, rugged ostrich country,
ending up in the quiet village of Montagu for the night. Our final stop is in the Cape Winelands village
of Franschhoek and then on to Cape Town.
Day 1-3: Arrival in PLZ, transfer to Shamwari, 2 nts safari at Riverdene/Long Lee
Manor.
Day 3: Transfer from Shamwari to Knysna, 2 nights at Turbine Hotel. Dinner restaurant.
Day 4: Featherbed Nature Reserve excursion, then Knysna Elephant Park. Dinner hotel.
Day 5: Via Oudtshoorn & Route 62 to Montagu, Safari Ostrich Farm for a tour, overnight
in Montagu, dinner at Lodge.
Day 6: Depart to Cape Town, stopover in Franschhoek and wine tasting.

Itinerary Overview
Discover the world of Safari, in Kapama Private Game Reserve, with its portfolio of luxurious safari
lodges, set in between the northern Drakensberg Mountains and the Greater Kruger National Park. We will
fly in to Hoedspruit and take a short drive though the Reserve to your lodge, which will be our base for
the next 3 nights on Safari.
Game drives are conducted twice daily with expert guides and trackers who will eagerly share their bush experiences and knowledge with you while driving through some of the most beautiful savannah woodlands, grassland and riverine bush, tracking the Big Five and the many other animals and birds. Your lodgings will be luxurious and comfortable, and all meals are provided at the lodge, including scrumptious afternoon teas.
Day 1: Fly Joburg to Hoedspruit, short road transfer to Kapama.
Day 1-4: 3 nights at Kapama on safari, fully inclusive.
Day 4: Transfer from Kapama to Hoedspruit airport, fly Hoedspruit to Joburg, connect
with flight to Cape Town and road transfer to hotel.
Two options – either Kapama River Lodge or Kapama Southern Camp
